Last night, over 200 national physical education leaders were invited to Gracie Mansion by New York City Mayor Bloomberg. Mayor Bloomberg proved to be an excellent host by providing the venue, a great opportunity to work on our “social fitness” skills and to network with our fellow urban physical educators. Additionally, we were able to have individual photos with the Mayor and to hear his words of encouragement on the importance of keeping and strengthening the role of physical education within NY City Schools, the state, and nationally.
